MIDLAND – Denver-based Civitas Resources announced this week that it has agreed to acquire Vencer Energy’s assets in the Midland Basin from Vitol for $2.1 billion in a deal expected to close in January.
The deal adds approximately 44,000 net acres and current production of about 62,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day to Civitas’ scale.
