LOCKHART – A new neighborhood, dubbed Misty Farms, is primed for development on roughly 99 acres just off SH 21 at the intersection of Misty Lane and Farmers Rd. in Caldwell County.
The property is owned by Maxwell Farms Partners LP, but La Tierra Realty LLC has been marketing the development site.
Located on the Caldwell side of the Caldwell-Hays county line, the development is under both San Marcos extra-territorial jurisdiction and Caldwell County jurisdiction. The land falls in the Lockhart Independent School District.
The development has 554 lots, 392 of which are 40-foot-wide lots, 108 are 50-foot lots, and 54 are 60-foot lots. The estimated cost to develop is $21.3 million.
An existing waterline on Misty Lane will need to be extended approximately 3,200 feet to serve the community.
Development could begin in second quarter 2024.
