AUSTIN – Jacobs Solutions Inc. will provide program management services to Austin Independent School District’s (AISD) multibillion-dollar capital improvement program.
Jacobs will manage $517 million worth of capital projects and oversee the development of ten schools over a five-year contract. Jacobs was selected as one of three program management firms that will each lead a portion of the expansion plan.
AISD will implement more than $2.4 billion in facility improvement, including the modernization of 25 schools through full or phased renovations, district-wide security improvements, technology upgrades, and maintenance.
The improvement plan includes heating, air conditioning, plumbing and roofing replacements, as well as the establishment of mental health centers and community pantries. It also plans for visual and performing arts and athletic facility updates, new playgrounds, and outdoor learning spaces.
Jacobs will partner with Turner & Townsend Heery LLC, Encotech Engineering Consultants Inc., Olivier, Inc., and Project Management Group LLC.
