IBM set to move Austin offices in 2027

AUSTIN – IBM Corp. will move into a newly proposed development by Hines at the northern tip of The Domain at 11901 N. MoPac Expy.

It has leased space in two 14-story towers proposed not far from IBM’s current campus at 11501 Burnet Rd. IBM is leasing about 320,000 sf of the project’s 500,000 total sf, which is less than half of the 800,000 sf the company occupies today. IBM will occupy one entire tower and two of the top six floors in the adjacent tower.

IBM plans to consolidate their Austin teams from the south end of The Domain into the new single location when the development is complete.

Hines is slated to begin construction on its buildings in late 2023 with completion expected in 2027. The project’s design architect is Munoz + Albin, Kirksey is the architect, Hitchcock is the landscape architect, and Kimley-Horn is attached as civil engineer with Dunaway as structural engineer.

CBRE represented Hines.
