COLLEGE STATION – Five high-rise buildings of ten or more floors have been built or are under construction north of the Texas A&M University campus.
High-rise student housing now makes up half the city’s tallest buildings. Scheduled to open in July, The Rev Northgate will be the tallest at 19 stories.
At least two taller buildings are in the works, according to city officials. Other high-rise housing projects, which are not as tall, are underway, too.
Texas A&M’s fall enrollment was 74,289. Just over 11,000 students live in the university’s 37 residence halls on campus.
