$130M mixed-use development set for Kaufman

​​KAUFMAN – A joint venture between the city and Cedar Crest Development is developing South Pointe Park, a $130 million, 52-acre mixed-use project. 

It will be anchored by a ​147,000-sf sports center that will have ​​basketball ​courts, vo​lleyball courts, indoor turf, batting cages, and an eight-lane bowling alley. Kaufman ISD will use the facility for its sports teams. 

South Pointe Park will also include:

  • a 100-room hotel, 

  • 180 apartment units, 

  • restaurants along S. Houston St.,

  • office space​​, 

  • 69 townhomes, 

  • walking trails, and 

  • a splash park.
