Conservation Equity Management snags Chocolate Bay parcel

​​​BRAZORIA COUNTY – Conservation Equity Management LP has acquired 5,403 acres of wetlands, dubbed the Chocolate Bay Conservation parcel.​

The land includes 9.2 miles of frontage with local bayous and 2.3 miles of bay frontage.

The new owner will construct a habitat conservation bank and a carbon capture and storage facility on the property. The site will also be home to the 2,500-acre Frentress-Johnson Wetland Mitigation Bank.
