Austin investor snaps up former American Airlines HQ

​FORT WORTH – Austin-based Capital Commercial Investments has purchased American Airlines’ former headquarters at the south end of the DFW International Airport. 

​Built in the 1980s, the more than one million-sf office complex is on 40 acres on Amon Carter Blvd. south of Airport ​​Fwy. 

Transwestern marketed the property​. Houston-based Boxer Property provided acquisition funding through Churchill Commercial Capital.

Locally based American Airlines moved its operations to the west side of SH 360 last year.
