HOUSTON – Hope City Houston is renovating a former office building to create a new church with a worship center, youth rooms, daycare, and activity areas.
The megachurch purchased the office building at 5300 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. in 2022 and has been using the second floor of the building for its offices.
Hope City Houston plans to add about 41,000 sf new space to the building, bringing it to 145,000 sf.
The plans include creating a new lobby with a coffee shop, a smaller sanctuary for young adults, a prayer room, a broadcast room, a family room, a children’s room and young-adult multipurpose rooms.
Kirksey Architecture will design the renovations. Churchworx Inc. is coordinating the $26 million project.
