HOUSTON – The Harris County Flood District is set to begin the $5.5 million Clear Creek watershed project this month.
The excavation will remove soil in preparation for construction of the stormwater detention basin on an undeveloped 102-acre tract south of FM 1959 and east of Blackhawk Blvd.
The stormwater detention basin will allow for future improvement projects to work alongside it and direct water flow in channels to reduce flooding in the Clear Creek watershed.
The excavation is expected to last for 327 working days.
