Georgetown approves $32M sidewalk master plan

​​GEORGETOWN – Georgetown’s Sidewalk Master Plan will focus on connectivity by filling in gaps for existing sidewalks within city limits as well as supporting projects near local schools to create safer routes.

The plan prioritizes projects into four tiers in order of priority– public schools, gaps in sidewalks, downtown, and small capital improvements over 200 ft.

The total estimated cost of the plan is $31.64 million.

The city estimates spending $7 million on public school projects, $22.82 million on gaps, $775,000 on downtown, and $1 million to make small improvements over 200 ft. ​
