DALLAS – Downtown’s 50-year-old Reunion property is getting a $5 billion redevelopment that could attract 5,000 new residents.
Developer Hunt Realty is planning 3,000 apartments, including 1,500 affordable units, a 600- to 1,000-room hotel, 150,000 sf of retail space, and up to two million sf of offices with a central three- to four-acre park, as well as a $3 billion convention center. Construction will begin in 2024 and be completed in 2028.
The new plan was designed by Hart Howerton architects.
The development will bring $1 billion in tax revenue over 20 years.
