FRIENDSWOOD – Tannos Development Group and Wolfgramm Capital plan to break ground on Friendswood City Center, a $750 million development on 106 acres along FM 528, in January.

The 54-acre mixed-use district will have 150,000 sf of retail space, 200,000 sf of medical and office space, a 500-unit apartment complex, a nationally branded boutique hotel with 150 rooms, restaurant, and 5,000-sf convention center.

The other half of the development will be a 52-acre park that will be donated to the city. It will have 4.2 miles of walking and biking rails, a fishing lake with pier, parking, and public restrooms.

Plans also call for an extension of Blackhawk Blvd. to connect FM 528 with West Bay Area Blvd.

Diamond Development Group designed the development.

Vertical construction is slated to begin in late 2024. Completion will take three years.
