SwRI awarded $8.9M to develop cyber tech for DoD

​​SAN ANTONIO – Southwest Research Institute has been awarded $8.9 million for a contract with the United States Department of Defense to develop cyber technologies for use in tactical operations.

The base contract is for 20 months with an 18-month extension option. The option would bring the contract’s value to an estimated $16.6 million. 

At the time of the award, almost $1.5 million will be set aside for research, development, test, and evaluation services for fiscal years 2023 and 2024.

Eighty percent of the work will be performed in San Antonio.
