HOUSTON – The University of Houston has broken ground on its new Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center.

The 105,000-sf facility will house the team’s training space, locker room, health and nutrition space, and staff offices.

It will have a two-story lobby with the coaches’ offices and a 20,000-sf weight room on the second floor and athlete spaces on the bottom floor.

The $140 million project will also be connected to TDECU Stadium on the west side and will provide new seating options, including 14 suites, a 40-seat club section with access to an 11,000-sf club, and a 300-seat roof terrace.

The facility is scheduled to open in August 2025.
