DALLAS-FORT WORTH-ARLINGTON – The DFW area leads the nation in new hotels with 21,840 rooms under construction, according to Lodging Econometrics.
In the third quarter, 189 hotels were being built, up from last year’s 176. Atlanta had the second-highest number at 140. Nashville was third with 122.
In the next year, 80 hotels with 9,021 total rooms will begin construction in North Texas.
