HOUSTON – Amazon.com Inc has signed a long-term lease for 12.7 acres at Riggy’s West 10, a new outdoor truck parking and storage lot at 30229 SH-290.
DryPort Capital completed the 15-acre lot this week after breaking ground in March. It is near the company’s distribution center at 31819 Highway Blvd. in Brookshire.
Amazon’s space has 400 12-ft-by-55-ft trailer spots.
The lease accounts for 88 percent of the entire property, leaving 20 12-ft-by-75-ft spots for short-term truck parking rentals.
The gated lot also has a 2,000-sf lounge with showers, restrooms, and commercial washer and dryer facilities.
