WILMER – A Chinese-based solar company is building a 1.3 million-sf manufacturing plant that will open in 2024.
Trina Solar’s plant, which will be on the corner of Sunrise Rd. and Pleasant Run Rd., will produce high-power Vertex modules using 210mm wafers, creating 1,500 jobs for the area.
The company will invest $200 million and is requesting $1 million in grants and a 75 percent tax abatement.
