New plans for stalled Frisco development approved

FRISCO – The stalled $2 billion Wade Park development’s first phase has been approved and will be completed in 2026.

Rebranded as The Mix, the 112-acre project’s first phase will now include 100,000 sf of retail space, a 120,000-sf medical office building, up to 3,300 residential units, and a central park.

A $150 million, 2,200-space underground parking garage will fill the 6.8-acre hole made from previous construction.

Zoning approval was gained, allowing two million sf of office space, 375,000 total sf of retail, and two hotels.   

The development was taken over by JVP Management in 2019 after loan defaults from the previous developers.​
