ODESSA – Odessa College, the City of Odessa, and Eofficial Enterprises broke ground last year on a new downtown community center. That center has opened.
It will offer programs and services such as art classes, yoga classes, live music, and more. Odessa citizens can enjoy the splash pad, two stages for live music, and, eventually, food trucks. The area is also designed to host community events.
The total cost of phase one was $3.2 million. Phase two will consist of a $13 million, three-floor academic building.
“That facility will be a business space where we teach people how to open businesses, run businesses,” said Odessa College President Gregory Williams.
