SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – As of June 2023, the national coworking space stock reached 6,163 locations, a 10 percent increase from 5,612 in March. Dallas-Fort Worth ranked fifth in number of spaces.
According to a report from Coworking Cafe, DFW had a total of 231 flexible workspaces, a 3 percent increase from Q1.
Among other findings in the report:
- DFW is sixth in terms of total square footage covered by coworking spaces, with more than 4.46 million sf—also up 3 percent.
- When looking at the average square footage per market, DFW has an average of more than 19,300 sf.
- In terms of coworking subscriptions, virtual offices and dedicated desks registered median price increases in the DFW market, while open workspaces decreased.
- Both virtual office and dedicated desk memberships rose from $59 to $124 and $254 to $289 per month in 2Q, while the median price for an open workspace decreased to $150 per month from $250 last quarter.
