SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Zoo is planning the first phase of a $70 million makeover.
The project will upgrade and expand the entry plaza, repurpose the historic monkey house into a plaza with a cafe and restrooms, and add new pedestrian and traffic safety features.
The project will also add electronic ticketing kiosks.
Construction will be complete by spring 2024.
