SAN ANTONIO – Meals on Wheels San Antonio has broken ground on a 44,000-sf headquarters, production facility, and distribution center.
The facility at 2718 Danbury St. will include a kitchen, food preparation space, volunteer training area, and an expanded Grace Place Alzheimer’s Activity Center.
Meals on Wheels purchased the site in 2019 for around $2 million.
The project team includes Joeris General Contractors, Pape-Dawson Engineers Inc., Project Control, and LPA Design Studios.
Construction will wrap up by September 2022.
The nonprofit is currently based in a former cafeteria at 4306 NW Loop 410.
