HOUSTON – The local retail market absorbed 671,000 sf and delivered 1.4 million sf during first quarter 2020, according to NAI Partners.
Of the new construction delivered so far this year, 74 percent has been leased. Around 69 percent of the over 3.1 million sf still in the pipeline has been spoken for.
Real Capital Analytics data show local retail sales volume for 1Q2020 was $191.2 million, down from $242.2 million this time last year.
The local retail overall triple-net rent rates were $17.86 per sf, an increase of $0.79 from a year ago.
