SAN ANTONIO – AREA Real Estate is partnering with three Austin entrepreneurs to open an icehouse with an indoor music stage in north downtown across the street from the San Antonio Museum of Art.
River North Ice House will be at the former home of Texas Custom Seating Inc. at 317 W. Jones Ave. It will have live music several days a week, a beer garden-type area, and space for food trucks.
AREA bought the 0.36-acre property for an undisclosed price last month, Bexar County property records show.
Renovation work is set to begin in the next couple of weeks. An opening date hasn’t been determined, but AREA and its partners are aiming for April.
