MIDLOTHIAN – KDC and Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC have started construction on a new distribution center at Railport Business Park.
The nearly 422,000-sf, LEED-certified, build-to-suit industrial facility will sit on 60.7 acres that have been rezoned from agricultural to planned development.
The 36-foot clear-height building will have a cross-dock configuration and a significant amount of warehouse storage space along with interior offices, break room, training rooms, lockers, and restrooms.
The facility is slated to be completed in fall 2024.
Cushman & Wakefield represented Oncor in the transaction. F.A. Peinado is the general contractor, and Alliance Architects Inc. is the architect.
Oncor is the largest electricity transmission and distribution company in Texas, serving more than 13 million customers in the Lone Star State.
