WAXAHACHIE – The city council has approved a 1,230-acre residential development on the outskirts of the city.
The 2,600-lot Haven Ranch off Hunter Pass will have a 120-acre park with bird-watching stations, a fishing dock, playgrounds, and bike and pedestrian trails.
A six-acre commercial town center, two 15-acre school sites, and three amenity centers are also planned.
Construction will take eight to ten phases across ten to 15 years, with the first phase completed in 24 months.
GRBK Edgewood LLC is developing the project. It will be financed by a public improvement district.
