ROUND ROCK – Ascension Seton Williamson announced Oct. 17 that the hospital will undergo an expansion that will add more patient and operating rooms and hundreds of new jobs.
The construction of a 216,000-sf, six-story tower will add 160 patient rooms, two operating rooms, a 12-bed observation unit, and additional space for emergency, imaging, cardiac catheterization, and surgery departments.
The existing hospital will get an additional 34,000 sf for outpatient wound care, cardiac rehab, and pediatric rehab.
The project will be funded through the hospital’s capital expenditures and fundraising from donors.
