CONROE – Children’s Safe Harbor will break ground on its new center at 3006 N. Loop 336 E. in November. Construction is expected to wrap up in 13 months.
The facility will be a safe haven and support center for abused children, their families, and the individuals working to protect them. It will focus on counseling, therapy, education and training.
Children’s Safe Harbor set a goal of $15 million to fund the new campus. They were at the the halfway point when they received a $5 million donation from the state. In addition, The Woodforest Charitable Foundation committed $2.5 million for the naming rights of the new building in June 2022.
