MIDLOTHIAN, GRAND PRAIRIE – Plans for a 2,000-acre residential community were approved with construction beginning in 2024.
Lakesong will have 5,000 homes, 330 acres of open spaces and parks, a 20-mile trail system, and the 100-acre Padera Lake. Fronting US 287 near US 67, the community will have apartments, townhomes, and 40-ft to 1/3-acre lots.
Developer Huffines Communities also developed Viridian in Arlington and the Providence in Providence Village, and is planning the 1,400-acre Solterra in Mesquite.
