EL PASO – A power management company is expanding and bringing hundreds of jobs to the borderland.
Eaton announced the expansion of its manufacturing operations, which includes the purchase of a new facility in El Paso, the creation of more than 600 jobs, and an $80 million investment.
A spokesperson for Eaton said the company also looked at Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Dallas, but El Paso beat those cities because of how close it is to Eaton’s Juarez plant.
With its latest investment, Eaton plans to increase manufacturing of electrical grid components such as low-voltage breakers, switchboards, panelboards, and assemblies.
