ROSENBERG – The Fort Bend County Epicenter, a $120 million, 230,000-sf sports and entertainment venue, will open at 28505 Southwest Fwy. later this month.
The multipurpose venue has a fixed-seating capacity of 8,600 that can be raised to 10,000 with floor seating and can be configured to accommodate six basketball courts or 12 volleyball courts.
The project also has a 38,000-sf covered outdoor pavilion, 5,000 sf of meeting and conference room space, a VIP lounge, four concession stands and four locker rooms.
The project was funded through a public-private partnership, with the county leasing the facility for 30 years, after which it will own the property.
Stoa International Architects Inc. and PBK Sports were the architects, and Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. was the general contractor.
The project broke ground in November 2021.
