SAN ANTONIO – Local hotel tycoon BH Hospitality Management LLC has acquired a second downtown property, Tru by Hilton Downtown Riverwalk hotel, at 901 E. Houston St.
The property was previously owned by local entity SAT 901 Star LLC.
The firm took out a nearly $10 million mortgage from Broadway Bank as part of the acquisition, according to county records. The land was recently appraised at $7.1 million.
Developed in 2016, the 95-room Tru by Hilton location was built by Maryland-based Baywood Hotels. It’s bordered by Star St. to the north, E. Houston St. to the south, and I-10 to the east.
BH Hospitality acquired the Hampton Inn location at 414 Bowie St. in 2019, just a stone’s throw away from the Tru by Hilton.
