AMARILLO – A new development plan for the Highland Park district includes additions to the entire community near Loop 335 and N.E. 24th Ave.
Coldwell Banker Commercial First Equity is ready to develop the 550 acres set aside as housing and commercial land for the new community development, Buffalo Highlands.
Included in the proposition is a 60,000-sf elementary school campus with childcare options and a 120,000-sf career tech school.
The Highland Park ISD developments propose a softball field, baseball field, parking lot and concessions area, school safety features and roadways, utilities, and infrastructure for new construction, according to documents.
Housing developments include more than 700 lots featuring around 2,000-sf homes with two-car garages.
Multiple new businesses also plan to locate and hire within the district. Five companies with approved land commitment plan to bring almost 4,000 jobs to the area.
