Waco recording studio finds new home in famous Alico Building

WACO – Local recording studio Rogue Media Network is relocating to the city’s tallest skyscraper, the Alico Building.

Built more than a century ago, the well-known building is filled with professional offices.

“It’s a high-profile building,” Rogue’s executive director said. “We want to up the stakes every time we move. We want to make things better, prettier, brighter, more palatable for the country, not just Waco.”

Elements throughout the building show off its history, like the doorknobs with “Alico” engraved above the knob, a marble staircase that runs up and down the building, and even hidden doors. The lobby has mirrors and gold colors, and each floor has alternating gender bathrooms. Some of these features date back to when it was originally built in 1911, including a mail chute and chicken wire on the windows.

The building even has its own security guard checking in every person that comes through the building.

Rogue’s space on the 21st floor overlooks the Silos and Dr Pepper Museum.
