HOCKLEY – Concourse Development has broke ground on The Grand Prairie, a 1,730-acre master-planned community south of US 290.
Five homebuilders will build 481 single-family homes on 40- to 60-ft lots: Perry Homes, Westin Homes, Village Builders, Sitterle Homes, and David Weekley Homes.
Homes will be priced from the low $300,000s to the $600,000s.
The community will have 450 acres of parks and waterways and four miles of trails in the first phase.
Amenities will include a 6,700-sf open-air pavilion, swimming pools, and splash pads designed by Overland Partners.
There will also be a 70-acre detention lake for flood control, with the surrounding area open to the general public, funded with $10 million approved by the Harris County Commissioners Court.
