PLANO – The former Plano Market Square Mall will soon reopen as the 300,000-sf mixed-use Assembly Park.
Assembly Park will have apartments, restaurants, and office space as well as outdoor spaces, a hike-and-bike trail, fitness center, and tenant common areas.
The mall, which was built in 1980 and closed in the early 2000s, is on Spring Creek Pkwy. near US 75.
There will be 180,000 sf of office space in the original building, and the rest of the building will be demolished. The new construction will have 16,000 sf for restaurants and retail space as well as 305 apartments with a monthly rent of $1,800 to $2,000.
Some offices will be ready later this month, and the apartments will be ready in October and November.
