$25M worth of land to be added to Honey Creek State Park

SAN ANTONIO – Texas Parks and Wildlife has purchased $25 million worth of land to expand The Honey Creek State Natural Area by 515 acres. The land was sold by Ronnie and Terry Urbanczyk.

The natural area is considered a pristine stream that supports a healthy and diverse ecosystem, very few of which still exist, according to TPWD.

The property will expand access to outdoor recreation and nature education near Honey Creek, as well as opening an event venue.

No timeline has been provided as to when the new addition will open to the public.
