MESQUITE – Toronto-based solar-power company Canadian Solar is converting an old industrial building into a new manufacturing plant that will bring 1,500 jobs to the area.
The 750,000-sf warehouse is on Town East Blvd., south of US 80. Canadian Solar said it will invest $250 million to renovate the surrounding 91-acre industrial campus.
Canadian Solar is leasing the property from Capstar Real Estate Advisors. Clayco Construction is the general contractor.
