Historic marketplace to be converted into senior living

FORT WORTH – The historic Fort Worth Public Market is being converted into a senior-living facility.

The project will include a fitness center, co-working space, lounge, café, and a pool. A new five-story residential building will also be constructed and will be next to the original market.

Construction starts June 20 and will be completed in late 2024.

Wilks Development is leading the project.

The market is registered as a Texas Historic Landmark. It has been there for nearly a century but vacant for 80 years.
