HOUSTON – Houston landed fifth nationally in the number of LEED-certified office buildings with coworking spaces, according to CoworkingCafe.
It was the only Texas city to make the top ten. Austin ranked 11th and Dallas 12th.
According to CoworkingCafe’s report, of Houston’s 12 green office buildings with coworking spaces, nine have Gold LEED status and one has Silver status.
The 12 buildings account for 9 percent of total local coworking construction.
At the state level, Texas ranks 2nd with 32 green commercial or mixed-used buildings that include flex workspaces, outperformed only by California.
