TEXAS – The latest data published by the U.S. Drought Monitor show much of Texas is experiencing drought conditions from “moderate” to “exceptional.”
As of April 13, the most severe drought conditions are in the Hill Country and the northernmost part of the Panhandle.
The U.S. Drought Monitor is produced through a partnership between the National Drought Mitigation Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
