HOUSTON – City officials have approved the Lake Houston Spillway Dam Improvement Project’s latest $200 million design.
The project will include building 11 gates into the existing embankment on the east side of the dam to improve release capacity.
Funding for the project will come from a $48 million Federal Emergency Management Agency grant and state and federal funds.
