DALLAS – The Texas Legislature approved $282.5 million for the Texas Behavioral Health Center at UT Southwestern.
The psychiatric facility will have 296 beds, with 200 for adults and 96 for pediatric patients.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the UT Southwestern Medical Center are designing and constructing the facility. Children’s Health donated $200 million to support the hospital’s pediatric wing.
Construction will be complete by 2025.
