AUSTIN – Foundation Communities is turning the Townplace Suites at Marriott into an affordable housing community called Balcones Terrace.
The $26.5 million project will have 123 efficiency units. Thirty-one will be for those earning at or below 30 percent of the median family income, 31 for those at or below 40 percent, and 61 for those at or below 50 percent.
The city provided $2.6 million for the project.
