Houston hotel sells to New York investor

​HOUSTON – New York-based MCR has purchased Aloft Houston Downtown, a 121,900-sf, 168-room hotel. 

Built in 1913 and previously known as the Stowers Building, the building was converted into ​a hotel from 2013 to 2016. The 11-story hotel is at 820 Fannin St.

Amenities include a lobby lounge, fitness center, outdoor pool, valet parking, 24-hour business center, grab-and-go market, free Wi-Fi​, two bars, laundry facilities, and five meeting rooms.
