HOUSTON – Intuitive Machines has broken ground on a $40 million lunar operations center at the Houston Spaceport.
The center will consist of a 110,000-sf facility for offices, mission control rooms, and production space. It will also include a separate 5,000-sf propulsion test facility.
The city will own the building, pay for construction, and lease it to Intuitive Machines. However, the company will reimburse the city over the course of a 20-year lease.
