BEAUMONT – As national median home prices increase, southeast Texas has been left unphased, according to Texas Realtors.
Californians and Arizonans have been relocating to the Lone Star State in search of greater job opportunities and lower taxes, causing the median home price to reach an all-time high of $350,300. Jefferson County, however, has remained under $200,000.
The local median has increased by 15 percent since May 2020 but has still remained lower than the national average.
Supply, however, is struggling to meet demand.
