KYLE – The city’s new Public Safety Center, located at 1700 Kohlers Crossing, is ready for operation.
The 64,000-sf, two-story facility gives the Kyle Police Department the ability to expand its services, improve emergency response times, accommodate victims of crime-related trauma, and house an investigations suite and canine unit, all within one building.
The Public Safety Center is also equipped with a command-and-control center, training room, evidence room, and a records department.
One-third of the center will also house city administration and staff.
Kyle voters passed Proposition A in the November 2020 bond election, which financed the design, construction, and equipment for the Public Safety Center.
The city broke ground on the project in September 2021.
