RICHARDSON – Cadence McShane has broken ground on Lake Highlands Middle School.
The 231,000-sf, three-story building will accommodate up to 1,500 students.
The project includes:

200 surface parking spaces,

a food service area with cafeteria,

two competition gyms,
-
weight room,
-
track and practice field,
-
tennis courts,
-
bleachers with 1,000 seats, and
-
spaces designated for band, choir, and theater.
Lake Highlands Middle School will be open for the 2024-25 school year.
Perkins+Will is the architect.
The project will be the first ever sixth-through-eighth-grade campus in the Richardson Independent School District.
